あー、やっと静かになった。。。。
Finally, we can sit and talk.

Aug. 29. All of the sudden... 急に。。。。

she got the idea of crawling.

She refuses to sit up.

She only wants to go tummy down to practice crawling

but she doesn't know how so she gets very frustrated.

急にハイハイしたくなったらしい。

つい昨日までお座りしてずーっとおもちゃバスケットを漁って楽しんでたのに、

急に座る事を拒否。

足をビーンッて突っ張って、断固拒否。

自分から泣く泣く仰向けになって、ごろんと腹這いに、

そしてハイハイの仕方がわからず泣き叫ぶ。

お腹だけつけて両手足をバタバタ浮かせて泣き叫ぶ。

はんたお腹だけ上げればいいのに。。。

Aug.28. Wednesday can be not so bad

Maya tried Quinoa & Millet for the first time.  Her breakfast menu; runner beans with chicken and Quinoa with cabbage.

Then went to rec center to see Ray whose 15 days older than Maya.

She enjoyed rolling all over the place.

Then she rolled some more at home after bath.

After her bedtime, I've got some adult time. Visited Jasper & Melissa's house for dinner and met up with some friends from school.  It was very very sweet.  

They celebrated me and Alma's birthday :)

Finger food practice

She've been practicing eating on her own.

She does it very well.

Well, if I give her ripen fruits, it ends up pretty messy like this.

She enjoys squeezing them very much.

But some actually make it in to her mouth.

手づかみ食べの練習をしています。

とても上手です。

熟れたフルーツなんかあげちゃうと、こういうことになるけど。

And when she is all done, she enjoys the slippery table to swim on. 

食べ終わった後の机はヌルヌルで格別に楽しいそうです。

Now she bathes sitting like this.

最近はこんな感じで座ってお風呂に入っています。

It looks like crawling but that's just her pose.

She rolls instead.

おじいちゃん、おばあちゃん、また新しいおもちゃ、ありがとうね。

Other new things are....

Chicken liver (she loves it), kiwi fruits, brushing teeth, 

flipping pages on books, 3 point harness on the new stroller 

and new upper front teeth (still teething. Ugh!).

Things she started at month 7 and got a lot better at the month 8;

kissing, waiving and saying papa & mama.

In July she started eating my face.  

She attacks on my cheeks, chin, nose and whole face 

with her open mouth leaving my face all drooly.

She still accidentally bites my chin sometimes, but she gives me kisses all the time.

It's very sweet. 

And she waves at people pretty well.  When we leave one place (like leave a house we visited) she waves to the space in general.

She've been practicing to say "Mama" and "Papa."

She does it pretty well, but she's an over achiever. 

She is still working to make it perfect.  I don't think she has called us yet.

最近は鉄分豊富な鶏のレバーなんかもお気に入り。

「パパ」「ママ」も大分上手になってるし、バイバイと手も上手に振る様に。

１ヶ月前はとにかく私の顔を大きな口を開けて噛み付いてきてたけど、

あれはキスをしてくれようとしていたみたい。

大分上達して、たまにちゅっとしてくれます。

（まだよだれで顔をドロドロにされたりもするけど。）

外では大体機嫌が良く、目に付く人にニコニコと笑いかけてます。

赤ちゃんや子供の隣に行くと笑いかけたり触ろうとしたり、

コミュニケーションがとても上手です。
