裁縫部結成。Sewing Club

While kids are playing silly,

we sew their dresses.

Lately, some mom friends get together and doing some baby dress making.

This is what I'm working on.  It's going to be Maya's tunic dress.
Love the fabric I got from Sapporo.  I should've gotten more different kinds.  Textile design is so much better in Japan.

Aug. 7. 4th informal anniversary 結婚(披露宴をした日)から4周年!

Thank you, Toli for the beautiful everyday and special day flower.
Thank you, Mamochka & Papochka for the gorgeous orchid!

Maya points at flower and say "flower!" in Japanese and Mandarin.

Fun dinner with sola

We had Kana, Lena and Sola visited us all day last Friday.  At night, their papa, Yuta joined and went to our new favorite neighborhood restaurant. We reserved this awesome room with one big table and windows over looking their kitchen.  Maya and Sola seemed to enjoyed the place as much as adults did.

Play date

I put out the play sand with some tools for kids at our patio.  Bad idea, now our house is all sandy....

Passionate about shoes & socks

From the beginning Maya loves anything to do with feet.  Words to mean foot; "foot" in English, "ashi" in Japanese and "nogu (nogi)" in Russian were the first thing she started saying in all three languages.

If I leave her long enough, she puts her socks by herself (like today).  And can put one side of the shoe like this time in the pics.

To take them off when we come home, she has this routine: sits on the stair, take one shoe off, gets up with the shoe to put it in her shoe box, sits there again, take the other one off, put that in the box, goes in to the house, sits on the floor, take one sock off, goes to our bedroom, put the sock in the laundry basket, sits there, take the other one off and put it in to the laundry.  If you interrupt, she gets upset. If you don't help her at the right moment, she gets upset.  And she wants to be pleased by seen and told "good job!"  What a girl.....

Believe me... She's a mess!
