明日はちょっと大変だ。

明日で真弥１２０日。

１００日目にはセントルイスのトリの実家に行っていて、お食い初めなる儀式をやりそこねてしまった。このお陰で将来この子が食うに困ってしまってはまずい。

てことで、明日お食い初めを決行するぞ！

と、意気込んで今日は日系スーパーで買い出し。

伝統的なお食い初めのメニューとしては、

尾頭付きの鯛、お吸い物、お赤飯、煮物、香の物、歯固めの石

ってなところらしい。

ほとんどの品はそう手間取らずにできそうだけど、おっきい魚を丸ごと焼くのはやはり厄介。「いやぁ、せっかくだから奮発して尾頭付きの鯛でも買ってメデタイメデタイとしたかったけど、やっぱりこっちのスーパーではそんな鯛はなかった。残念、残念。」。。。という下りはもう頭の中で出来上がっていたのに。

えぇ〜〜、あ〜るのぉ〜〜。

しかも高いは高いけど、手が出ない高さでもない。

（こっちでは鯛は高級魚でもないしね。）

くくぅ。。。これは買って焼いてやるしかない。

言い訳がない。

明日はがんばる。

March 26 Today's report.

My baby is awesome. 

She went to bed at 9:30 last night and slept until 9:30 this morning.

If I didn't vacuum right outside of her door, she may had slept even longer.

I thought it was a bit too much sleep.

Good morning :)

We're trying to fix her sleeping routine to better time (more baby like time.)

She used to go to bed around 11 or midnight and wake up around 10:30-11 in the morning without interruption in between most of the time. Like a collage student; well said by Dan.
We put her to bed around 9 last night and she slept until 6.
Now we're having family bed time before we really have to get up and get going for the new week. I kinda like it :)

夜は11時とか12時に寝て、大抵は夜中起きることなく、朝は10時半から11時に起床、という大学生のようなベッドタイムだったマヤさん。これはあまりにも赤ちゃんらしくないということで、調整してみることに。
昨日は9時に寝て、途中起きることなく6時に起床。おっぱい飲んで、今家族でゴロゴロ。
添い乳して一緒のベッドじゃなきゃ寝なかった新生児の頃を思い出すわ (*^^*)

March 23. Aliya's 2nd Birthday Party!!

Aliya, our niece in the East Bay is turning 2 on 26th.

Alistair and Lea went all out throwing the coolest Yo Gabba Gabba party! 

For those who don't know... Alistair is my host brother from the time I was in Portland for one year exchange program in high school.  The Onos welcomed me like a real family member and I had been coming back to them from time to time after the exchange year was over especially when I felt too tired of the expectation for being polite and quiet good Japanese girl  ;)  AND Christmas and Thanksgiving for their tradition and tasty home cooking. 

I would not have decided to move to the states if they weren't there when I came to San Francisco when I was 28.  

I am very thankful to Mom, Dad, Alistair & Lea, Sarah & Orion and all their close friends and extended family for including me in their warm circle full of ♡

Alistair got Maya the cool baby sunglasses. 

She is too cool to pick up candies with other kids...

Layla (Aliya's younger sister, 1 month younger than Maya) was very quiet the whole time.

たっちゃんにもらったこのドレス、たまたま共通のお友達でジンボリーのデザイナーのともこちゃんがデザインしたドレスでした。かっわいーん。

March 24. 日曜日を満喫☆

We visited our friends Sarah, Dan & Aiden 

(2 week younger than Maya) for lunch.  

They made tasty grilled sandwiches.  

And we went to the Academy of Science in Golden Gate Park.

今日はお友達のおうちにランチをご馳走になりに行きました。

そこの赤ちゃん、エイデン君はマヤと２週間違い。

彼も元気にすくすく育っている様で、なにより。

その後はゴールデンゲートパークの科学博物館へ。

Baby saw real sized giraffe for the first time.
They are a lot bigger than the ones she has and she can chew on.

Maya loved looking at fish.  They look so yummy!

桜が満開！
（お母さん、ここ一緒に木蓮を見に行った植物園だよ。）

で、早めの晩ご飯。
Mama gets to eat first.

Now it's a FAMILY dinner.
(I'm breast feeding and eating ramen at the same time.  Impressed?)
授乳しながらラーメンすする技を披露。

次は食後のアイスクリームでも、とリサーチ中。ふむふむ。

帰宅後。
Look, Mama!  I'm flying!!
