Mar. 3. Girls' Day 初節句

March 3rd is Girls' Day in Japan.  It's called "Hinamatsuri."

We display special dolls "Hina Ningyo," eat special food "Chirashi Sushi" and "Sakura Mochi" and wish for girls healthy growth.   

(FYI Boys' Day is May 5th and recently some people started 

to celebrate April 4th as Gay Day.)

    We celebrated it with two other families with girls 

in the neighborhood.

At Francesca's house, both me and Sachi brought hand-made Hina Ningyo.

I made Chirashi Sushi

ちらし寿司を作って、母の知り合いが作ってくれた雛人形を持って、

フランチェスカのお家でお祝いしました。

真弥、あきら、レアちゃん、みんな健康に一年過ごせますように。
