The last few weeks... ここんとこ
We got a box full of goodies from Japan!
Her first back pack.
おじいちゃん、おばあちゃん、ありがとう。

以来ずーっとこのお弁当箱で遊んでるよ。

She broke this ball in a minute.
この繊細なちりめんのボール、儚い命だったわ。。。
あっという間に壊されてた。。。
もう一個は大切に保管してます。

Went to Sora's birthday party.
そらのパーティーにて。
Kent and Sage came home with us.
そして帰宅後。
She knows what to do with things.
She pulls out earphones from a shelf and put it in her ear.
She brings garbage to the trash bin under the sink.
She puts her socks on her toes.
She toasts toy cups before pretending to drink.
She also put her pants over her head.
She sucks the end of random cables.
She pretends to comb her hair with a block.
最近いろんなことが解っている様子のマヤ。
誰かがバッグを持って立ち上がると「バイバーイ」と手を振ってドアへ促す。
イヤホンを引っ張りだしては耳に入れる。
ティッシュを私のポケットから出して自分の鼻に当てる。
ゴミはシンクの下のゴミ箱へ入れようとして持って来る。
靴下はつま先へ、オムツはお尻へあてる。
５時半になったらお風呂に入りたがる。
おもちゃのお弁当箱セットに入っていた二つのカップ、一つ私に渡し、一つは自分、必ず乾杯してからカップをすする。

Feb. 20. Going out with Big Maya 大っきいマヤちゃんとお出かけ。
新しいお友達、マヤちゃん。
彼女も日本人のお母さんとユダヤ人のお父さんの長女。
１歳年上。昨年末に日本から近所に引っ越してきたそう。
先日初めて遊んで、それ以来マヤちゃんは自慢げに
自分の事を「おっきいまや」と読んでるそう。
昨日は日本語、ロシア語の絵本が借りられる図書館へ一緒に行ってから、
日本のスーパーでお買い物をしてきました。

This is "big Maya."
We went to check out Japanese and Russian books at a library yesterday.
Big Maya held Little Maya's hand and we walked together slowly slowly from the car.
This is the play those two Mayas created.
Big Maya gets letters from the wall and hand them to Little Maya,
Little Maya put those letters in the square hole on the cube.
They play nicely together.
I think they feel "the Maya connection."

Feb. 18. catching a little cold....
Back from the ski house, I and Maya have runny nose and feeling a bit tired.
私もマヤもちょっと風邪っぽい。。。
鼻水じょろじょろ、だるいしー。

Maya loves those toys and DVD form you.
おじいちゃん、おばあちゃん、ありがとう。
送ってもらったおもちゃとDVDとっても喜んで遊んでます。
We took Bart and went to downtown today.
今日は用があってバートでダウンタウンへ。
マヤがストローラーで寝てる隙にお買い物できちゃった。
End of the day, when we came home from downtown around 5:30,
she basically told me to bathe her, give her milk and take her to bed.
As we come home, she points out at the bathroom door and try to go in.
Ok, I bathe her.
After that, she points out at the dining chair.
I gave her food. She refused to eat and point at the kitchen counter.
Ok, I give her a milk bottle.
She finished it in a few minutes.
Now she eats some of the food I gave earlier.
And, she tells me to take her out from the chair.
I did and I brought her to the couch, thinking she will play a bit until her bed time.
She waives at me and says "bye-bye" and looks at her bedroom direction.
Ok, I can take you to bed.
And that was it.
She dove to the crib and went to sleep at 6:30.
She was tired.
今日は早くに疲れて眠くなってたマヤに「バイバイ」って手振られちゃった。。。
要は「もういいから寝かしてくれ」と。。。
いろんなやり方で自分が欲しい物を伝えられる様になってきて、本当に楽しい。
ちなみに最近の口癖は「謝謝。」
何故だか（デイケアで聞いたのが簡単だったからだろうね）お礼は中国語で言って来る。「シェイシェイ、シェイシェイ」と礼儀深い娘。
